Hi Everyone!

Thursday, 12th September, saw a special guest in our Dojo. Okamoto Sensei, 6 Dan, of Kenshinkai in Brisbane was in town on business and came in to practice with us. we also took the opportunity to present grading certificates for both Kateena and I, who successfully challenged for Ikkyu at the QKR winter seminar in July.

Sensei was excited to see the amount of enthusiasm we were all putting into our practice, and informed Michael B that he is pleased with our progress. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Okamoto Sensei on behalf of BBRD/Tooomba Kendo for being kind and willing enough to come in and help us with practice. everyone improved greatly that night and enjoyed doing so. Because it is difficult for many of us take the opportunity to head to Brisbane, it was really good to get experience with a kenshi of your grade and experience. We would love to have you back anytime
